About Aether

AETHER was formed by Eric A. Mercer, a Council-Certified Indoor Environmental Consultant (CIEC) with over 25 years of experience in providing assessments and resolutions for a wide variety of concerns and clients.  During his career he has had the pleasure of working with clients including homeowners, national retail and hospitality chains, school districts, financial institutions, the healthcare industry, and local/federal entities.

In addition to extensive experience and continuing education, Eric holds certifications with appropriate state licensure in the following areas:
 

  • Council-certified Indoor Environmental Consultant (CIEC) by ACAC

  • VA Licensed Mold Inspector (defunct)

  • EPA AHERA Asbestos Inspector

  • EPA AHERA Asbestos Management Planner

  • EPA Lead-Based Paint Inspector

  • EPA Lead-Based Paint Risk Assessor

  • NIOSH 582 Equivalency (PCM Analysis)

  • EPA Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Certification
